Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that loved music. She spent most of her youth listening to classic music, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music, as well classic classical music. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. She also loves operas as well as any theatrical performance. At age 16 she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to give her more intense singing instruction. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo of the traditional Latin American music at private events. As a local performer and instructor and instructor, her passion for music and art keeps her active in a variety of different projects. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation, for keeping this music in the present.
