MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) received the Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. It peaked at number eight at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. Mala Influencia is released in 2020 by Noriel and his Dopamina album in the same year. Later in 2021 he performed an duet with TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which included the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a household of music his mother and older brother are both musicians. In interviews, he described his participation in music as compulsory. He learned how to play guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant. Although he initially wanted to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that taking lessons with an Cuban singing teacher would change his direction in life.
