Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actor, known for her roles in the movies Beta Saajan as well as Hum Aapke Haiin Koun..! She began her career in the late 1980s, and rose to prominence with her performance in the film Tezaab in which she was a part of the cast alongside veteran actor Anil Kapoor. Her next appearance was in Dil which she starred alongside Aamir. As a child she began learning at an early stage. She began acting when she was an infant and was struggling for several years because the majority of her first film projects were unsuccessful. She eventually found success and became one of the top actors in the Indian film industry. After her wedding, she took an absence from the industry before returning to the film industry. In the last few years, Dixit was a key player in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit has received 15 Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. She is also acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
