Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. The couple had separated and she moved with her mom to Los Angeles. She was struggling to make ends meet when she got her first role in acting in the film Rachel's Room's leading character. The role she played in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was selected to portray Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost where she acted as a principal character for the initial two seasons. She was also awarded an award called the Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. Grace was keen to pursue film following her role as Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. She was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 and Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is a modern version that Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised the role of Shannon in two more episodes of Lost including the series finale. She was in 2013 for the sixth season of Californication. The character she plays is Faith who is both a star-gazer and socialite. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Maggie Gyllenhaal.........................Margalit Ruth Gyllenhaal ( born November 16 1977) is an American actress and filmmaker. She is part of the Gyllenhaal clan and the sister to Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens she appeared in small roles in her father's movies and was co-starring with her brother in Donnie Darko, a cult classic. She also starred as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her performances as the lead in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) and Sherrybaby (606) Both of which garnered the actress Golden Globe Award nods. She starred in numerous films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). In the film, her performance as Crazy Heart as a mother who is a single parent received her a nomination to an Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. The following years she appeared in comedy and dramatic films: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012. Her other roles include the role of a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) as well as a singer in Frank (2014) and the title role in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal debuted as a writer and director in 2021, with her psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For this film she was awarded with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
